Since joining Accuride on August 20, 2018, I have participated in new employee training. The scene of running from Jinshui to Gaoxin Bus is still vivid in my mind. In the blink of an eye, the semester has come to an end.
Every day this semester, I am growing and changing. From the initial hesitation, I have become more and more determined, and I am more and more willing to integrate into the big family of Aired. Participating in new employee training, staff conferences, expert lectures, reading sharing and story sharing will make me familiar with the school’s hardware environment, educational philosophy, organizational structure and employee levels; joining the international class, the immersive experience of my colleagues will make me familiar with I have an in-depth understanding of the past and present life of the International Class; in the Chinese language subject, I worked with Teacher Yan to create a teaching path belonging to the International Class from scratch; ideologically, through children’s observation diaries and public account updates, I have a deep understanding of the International Class. I have a clearer understanding of the concept and direction of the class; and various activities, such as study trips, pastoral task discussions, mid-term activity tests, final comprehensive assessments, final review exams, etc., made me feel the power of teamwork and feel the own value and growth.
1. Integration of Concepts
Although I have worked in an international school, I know that every school has its own characteristics. Now I have joined Accuride. You must integrate Aired's philosophy into your own thinking so that you can identify with your current job and support yourself in working here for a long time. Therefore, during the training of new employees, I listened carefully and carefully pondered the school's concept of "natural growth"; when each teacher shared, I felt the spirit and inner temperament emanating from them, and learned from their experiences and flashes. Principal Zhang Shuhong’s interpretation of the five elements of a natural growth classroom gave me a clearer way to test teaching; Teacher Zhang Li “take care of emotions first, then think about problems; deal with feelings first, then deal with things.” Teacher Li Huiting’s overload of efforts in building a home-school relationship allowed me to see Teacher Aired’s selfless dedication; Teacher Chen Lin introduced the home economics course, It opened another door for my mind. It turns out that there are so many places where teachers can play a role... Through the new employee training, my thoughts slowly integrated into the educational philosophy of Aired. I feel that I have truly become a member of Aired. One member started a new journey. In school work, these concepts have played an important guiding role in everything I say and do. Although I still cannot express them naturally, they have become a behavioral benchmark.
2. Daily Work
From the first day I joined the international class and became a member of the international class, I was a little anxious, because although I was very enthusiastic about the overall concept of Aired I have an in-depth knowledge and understanding, but I still don’t know the past and present life, working model and development direction of the international class.
Last year, I worked as a class teacher for a year. I did everything myself, and the teacher left immediately after the class. At first, I thought that just like in the previous school, since I was not the class teacher, I wouldn’t have to worry about class matters. However, after two days, I discovered that things in the international class were different from ordinary classes. Every teacher was very busy, especially the head teacher. So I quickly adjusted my status. As long as I had time, I would stay in the classroom and deal with problems in a timely manner. I could just tutor the children in Chinese. Only particularly big problems would be handed over to the class teacher.
Later, we made a clear division of labor for teachers, and I became clearer about my responsibilities. Start morning reading on time every day, lead students to clean, distribute extra meals, lead children to have lunch after the last class, watch students play after dinner, lead students back to dormitory to rest, follow the swimming class to deal with problems in a timely manner, stay with them on Thursdays Children are rested to ensure their safety, children are reminded to take the school bus after school, problems that arise in the children's school are reported to parents in a timely manner, class teachers participate in communication during interviews with parents, and articles on public accounts are pushed every Monday, etc.
The clear division of labor gives me a sense of belonging and responsibility. I know my responsibilities at every point in time and work hard to fulfill my responsibilities.
3. Subject Education
As a Chinese teacher with only one year of teaching experience, I know that I am still very inexperienced in Chinese teaching and have a lot to learn and grow. This semester, in the teaching of Chinese subjects, I worked hard and listened humbly to the opinions of others, and still achieved certain results.
First of all, from the first day of employment, I began to understand the students' situation, understand the previous teaching materials and teaching models, communicate with colleagues in a timely manner, and ponder the selection of Chinese teaching materials, curriculum standards, teaching methods and other issues.
Second, before the parent-teacher meeting, study the curriculum standards every day, discuss the teaching program and training goals, and select teaching materials with Teacher Yan. Summarize the overall goal of Chinese teaching: Chinese aesthetic experience and improvement of native language thinking ability. At the parent-teacher meeting, he worked closely with Teacher Yan to demonstrate the results of Chinese language teaching and research and gain the trust of parents.
Third, prepare lessons carefully every day, write lesson plans, and make courseware, so that students can learn and gain happily in every class. In addition, by seizing the time to listen to the lessons of other teachers in the school, learning from their more mature teaching methods, and by reading professional books, they can improve their subject knowledge and literacy.
I teach and research with Teacher Yan every week, learn from each other, strive to maintain the continuity of Chinese teaching, and reflect on the shortcomings of this week’s teaching.
Fourth, in the movie class on Thursday, watch the movie in advance and make a task list based on the content and ideas to ensure that students watch the movie with questions and have something to think about and gain after watching the movie to share.
In short, the road to Chinese language teaching is long and arduous, requiring continuous learning, thinking and innovation. Needless to say, hard work goes without saying. I just hope that students can gain something every day and their Chinese literacy can be improved.
4. Activity Responsibilities
If there is any difference between the current work and the previous one, then the biggest difference is that in addition to the pressure of Chinese language teaching and research, the current work also has to organize various activities. There are various activities, and each activity is inseparable from everyone's cooperation. Everyone must do their assigned work well so that the entire activity can proceed smoothly.
(1) Pastoral Course Responsibilities
In the pastoral course, my task is to make weekly pastoral observation tasks and incorporate them into the teaching content of each subject. During the National Day, I had to make a 15-week radish field observation task list. I thought hard about it every day, collected various information about radish on the Internet, and applied it for reference, and finally completed it. Unfortunately, the radish seedlings died, and we planted new crops. Therefore, I have to take time every week to think about what I want students to observe and how to integrate it into the teaching of various subjects. There was only one time when I forgot to bring it after finishing it. After this mistake, I printed it out and gave it to Teacher Zheng who has a good memory. I never forgot to bring it again. (2) Class cultural responsibilities
During my first study tour, I stayed in school to build class culture. I had previously discussed with Teacher Li Lizhen and Teacher Zheng Huijuan how to do each part. I was mainly responsible for the printing, coloring and decoration of the text part. By learning from other class culture construction and integrating the characteristics of our own class, we worked together to design a refreshing class culture.
(3) Study course responsibilities
During the study in Anyang, I was responsible for the safety of five children. During this process, I paid close attention to the physical and mental dynamics of each child. , especially a child who loves to run around and a child who is relatively lonely. Sharing every night, I will praise them for their good performance and set expectations for them the next day, so that other children can also learn to discover their strengths. When the children return to school safe and happy, I am sincerely happy for their growth.
During my study in Sanmenxia, I was responsible for writing press releases for the study trip. It was freezing cold at the time, but because of my responsibilities, I spent the whole day looking for various angles to capture the wonderful moments of the children. When I returned to the hotel in the evening, when everyone had fallen asleep tiredly, I was still tapping. Keyboard to record a whole day’s study schedule and achievements. It's my duty, I dare not speak of hardship.
(4) Admissions Publicity Responsibilities
In terms of admissions publicity, I assisted Director Xue Jingxian in writing a WeChat draft for admissions publicity, giving full play to my understanding of "international" and my broad vision. Deeply process the article so that the prospects of the international class can be clearly displayed in front of everyone. In addition, by organizing the "International Class Work Manual", the results of our work can be displayed. Although we are often upset because of the picture adjustment during the process, we still insist on making it perfect because we are thinking about recruiting students!
5. Direction of Effort
Of course, I have many shortcomings during this semester.
First of all, since the beginning of winter, due to lack of exercise and acclimatization, I often get sick and my physical condition is not good. Therefore, sometimes the work that could be done better and the work that can be undertaken is shelved due to lack of energy. , causing trouble to leaders and colleagues. For example, one time I had a cough and a fever on a Thursday. After the film class, I felt extremely uncomfortable and did not stay to bind the task sheets with my colleagues. I deeply apologize for this. I hope that in the new semester, I can exercise well, get sick less often, take on more tasks, and contribute more to the team.
Secondly, I am not strict enough with myself in the details of daily work. For example, when I read in the morning and see that students come late, I will allow myself to arrive in the classroom a few minutes late and finish a few minutes late. This kind of behavior is too accommodating to students. As a teacher, I should set rules for students to start reading early on time, instead of accommodating students to start reading late and finish late. At the beginning of the new semester, I will establish a reward and punishment mechanism to reward students who start early reading on time. I will also require myself to arrive at school ten minutes early and wait for students in class every day.
Finally, in the second half of the semester, I was a little timid when communicating at home and school, and did not give full play to my initiative. The children's performance in the classroom was not communicated well, and the inertia and consistency of habit formation were not established. Sex, resulting in less effective habits in children. Therefore, in the new semester, where parents’ cooperation is needed, parents must be communicated with in a timely manner, and parents’ role in education should be fully utilized by sending messages in groups, writing small notes to parents, communicating on WeChat, etc.
I feel very honored to be a member of Accuride’s international class and to work hard for a bright career with like-minded colleagues. I hope to be with you all the way in the future. Although I am not perfect, I have a desire to make progress; although I sometimes complain, I always treat my daily work with a professional attitude.
