The market is divided into trading areas according to the types of commodities. The trading area is well laid out and clearly marked. The regional settings for similar products should be relatively centralized. A trading area for farmers' self-produced products and sales will be set up in the market as needed.
The live poultry business area must be relatively independent and separated from other business areas, with a distance of no less than 5 meters.
Breakfast or fast food ancillary services should be relatively concentrated in special areas, preferably 1-2. There should be no sewage or other pollution sources around, and fresh poultry should not be operated, stored or transported within 20 meters.
Farmers’ markets selling pickled products, cooked food, pickles and condiments, grain and oil products, and food products from the North and South should set up special counters or special rooms. Encourage the introduction of brand chain enterprises to sell meat, live poultry, soy products, vegetables and other agricultural products.
The counters for direct-entry foods such as cooked food, soy products, pickles, etc. should be at least 20 meters away from live poultry counters, toilets, and garbage rooms.
It is forbidden to set up fried and sold counters in the market, and the sale of fried and sold food is not allowed.
Products that do not fall within the provisions of Article 3.1 of this standard shall not be sold in farmers' markets.
Markets with conditions can set up an independent vegetable cleaning room, equipped with water supply and drainage facilities, cleaning pools, operating tables and garbage collection facilities, etc., to ensure that the vegetables are free of sediment, rotten leaves and roots before they are put on the market. No excessive moisture treatment is required.
