When we first arrived at the test base, a long-lost fresh air hit our nostrils. After a while, all kinds of raw food were placed on the table: eggs, dumplings... There are many varieties, just waiting to be cooked.

This time, the first dish is fried poached eggs. Even though the eggs are usually cooked in the hands of parents in two and a half times, it is actually quite difficult to make. As soon as they break out of the shell, the eggs are excited. It had to sizzle in the oil and was about to burn. I wanted to help it turn over, but I was afraid of breaking it. Some students didn't know what to do. It seemed that this little egg was powerful enough! Next, it’s time to cook the dumplings, which is the simplest. Seeing the dumplings floating up one by one, everyone can’t help but say with satisfaction and confidence: “Easy!” Now that their respective tasks have been completed, all that’s left is to work together to cook. Our group cooked fried shrimps, stir-fried shredded pork with pumpkin, and scrambled eggs with tomatoes. The dishes were brightly colored, sweet and delicious. However, this also makes us truly understand how difficult it is for parents to cook. When cooking, one has to keep burning firewood and fan mechanically with a fan. One has to look presentable there. The ground was frying, and the smoke from the firewood made everyone "cry in their eyes." However, all this difficult process has a good result. Seeing the team members and judges and teachers enjoying themselves, a sense of accomplishment suddenly rushed into my heart.

After housework, we started potting again. Everyone carefully put the small seeds into the culture soil one by one, and some even whispered a few words from time to time to encourage the seeds to germinate quickly, which made everyone laugh bitterly.

After all the activities, the students each took their own small potted plants, bid farewell to the experimental base where they had been exposed to for a day, and returned home with a full load.

Although today’s labor and technical activity was an exam, it gave me an extraordinary feeling. It allows us to understand cooking techniques, cultivation methods, and also the importance of cooperation. I believe this kind of labor skill assessment will be more popular among students.
