As of September, 22, normal students need to take the teacher qualification examination in the teaching profession. Since 215, China has fully implemented the national unified examination system for teacher qualification certificate, and graduates of normal universities no longer directly recognize the teacher qualification, but are uniformly included in the examination scope. This means that the normal students enrolled in 216 will no longer directly issue teacher qualification certificates, and they need to register for the exam.

According to the latest reform trend of teacher qualification certification system, normal students and non-normal students will have an equal status. The unified examination system is beneficial to selecting the best teachers' resources to some extent, avoiding the disadvantages of some normal students mixing diplomas, and also providing employment opportunities for non-normal students to become teachers.

Persons who meet the following basic conditions can register for the teacher qualification examination:

1. They have Chinese nationality;

2. Abide by the Constitution and laws, love education, and have good ideology and morality;

3. Meet the physical examination standards for applying for teacher qualification;

4. Meet the academic requirements stipulated in the Teachers Law.

(1) A kindergarten teacher should have graduated from a kindergarten normal school or above.

(2) A primary school teacher should have graduated from a secondary normal school or above.

(3) A junior high school teacher should have a bachelor's degree or above from a normal college or other university.

(4) Teachers in senior middle schools and secondary vocational schools should have a bachelor's degree or a bachelor's degree or above in normal universities.

(5) To be qualified as an internship instructor in a secondary vocational school, one should have graduated from a secondary vocational school or above, and should have a professional technical position of equivalent assistant engineer or above or a technical level of intermediate workers or above.
