The corporate audit system includes three components: national audit, internal audit and social audit.
1) Audit agencies established by people’s governments at or above the county level. It is an audit supervision department belonging to the national government agencies. It mainly performs the audit supervision of the financial revenue and expenditure of government departments at all levels and the financial revenue and expenditure of state-owned enterprises and institutions.
2) Internal audit departments established by enterprises and institutions. It mainly carries out auditing and supervision activities within the unit, serves the management to regulate internal organizational behavior, and improves the organization's internal standardized management level.
3) Social audit institutions (i.e. audit firms) are social audit service institutions with a business nature.
