Experiences of college student volunteer activities

I was fortunate to be a volunteer in the county hospital during the summer vacation. In just half a month in the children's rehabilitation center, I learned a lot, witnessed many family stories, and was healed a lot.

The first child I met, I was most impressed by him. He had defective legs and could not walk normally. The kindergarten teacher told his mother that we could not accept this child. He does not mean that. The child asked his mother, "Mom, why can't I go to kindergarten?" Mian Mian didn't know what her mother was saying. The doctor said that this child is lucky. His mother has protected him very well since he was a child and did not let him suffer any harm. However, if such a child does not experience some things when he was a child and develop a brave heart, it will be difficult for him to face it in the future. This cruel world.

So I saw this scene, his shoe fell off, and the doctor said you are old enough, put it on yourself. He was sitting on the stool, and the straps were loosened, but his feet couldn't go in. The doctor said, "Move the stool back, come out, and sit on the ground to put it on." He did as he was told, sitting on the ground and putting on one shoe, which took him five minutes.

The doctor joked, "Who puts on clothes and shoes for you at home?" "Mom" "That's not possible. I have to beat your mother with a stick. How can I help you when you are so old?" You put on your shoes." "Auntie, don't hit mom."

Sometimes his left hand is paralyzed due to brain atrophy, and he needs to be trained since he was a child. He really wants to play puzzles and can do it with his right hand, but The doctor only let him play one game with his right hand, then wrapped his right hand with a bandage, poured a basket of blocks on the table, and asked him to pick it up and put it into the basket with his left hand.

It was very tiring and difficult for him. I helped him pass the blocks to his hands. He was out of breath after taking a few, but he was really optimistic and he was also enjoying this "game" , "Let me smell it, ah, this building block stinks so much, throw it away quickly." Another child next to me was building a castle with building blocks. He secretly said to me, "Sister, please protect his castle." "Tear it down"

A day ago I felt that I was miserable and unfortunate.

I no longer have any interest in life. If I go out more and see more, I will find out.

How happy it is to find that we can still live a healthy life
