According to statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics, the population of elderly people over 60 years old in my country has reached 254 million in 2019, accounting for approximately 18.1% of the country's total population. In recent years, the number of elderly people in my country has been increasing year by year, which shows that the demand for elderly care services in my country is huge.

According to the State Council’s Standing Conference on Expanding the Supply of Elderly Care Services and Promoting the Consumption of Elderly Care Services in August 2019, demand-oriented development of elderly care services is an important measure to deal with aging and improve the quality of life of the elderly. The demand for elderly care services in my country mainly includes medical service demand, nursing service demand, and housekeeping service demand.

Policy promotion of elderly care services will accelerate development

In March 2021, the "14th Five-Year Plan for the National Economic and Social Development of the People's Republic of China and the Long-term Goals for 2035" The Outline proposes that during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, we will vigorously develop inclusive elderly care services, support families to assume the function of elderly care, and build an elderly care service system that coordinates home and community institutions and combines medical and health care;

Improving The community home-based elderly care service network promotes the extension of professional institutional services to the community, integrates and utilizes existing resources to develop community-embedded elderly care; supports the transformation of training and recuperation resources to develop elderly care, and strengthens policy support for nursing-type private elderly care institutions. In the future, as my country's aging population deepens and driven by my country's elderly care service policies, my country's elderly care service industry will accelerate its development.
